Managing Partner Jennifer Kramer has acted as lead counsel on a number of complex wage and hour matters, including class action prosecution. Her practice focuses on employment litigation in state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies. Ms. Kramer has significant exposure in the areas of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace; unfair competition; misappropriation of trade secrets; breach of express and implied contracts; defamation; trade libel; and whistle-blowing. She also provides counseling to employers on personnel issues, including discipline, termination and wage and hour concerns.
During law school, Ms. Kramer interned at two venerated Bay Area public interest legal foundations, the San Francisco Neighborhood Legal Assistance Foundation and the Employment Law Center. She also served as an extern with the San Francisco Superior Court. In addition to graduating in the top 10% of her class and cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law, Ms. Kramer received numerous accolades during law school including membership in the McAuliffe Honor Society; awards for scholarship in the fields of constitutional law, employment law, and federal court practice; a term as President of the USF Women’s Law Society; selection for the Public Interest Law Foundation grant and the Agnes O’Brien Scholarship; and membership on the USF Law Review. The USF Law Review published an article she authored on the subject of privacy rights under the California Constitution.
Ms. Kramer is a member of the State Bar of California, licensed to practice in all state courts and the Central, Southern, and Northern District federal courts as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, labor and employment practice section, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the California Employment Lawyers Association.
